i think im gonna start postin more, so ill start now

i dont think there is a single "bad" show in 77, but IMO, i think most of the shows sound exactly alike. I like 77 alot, and that year gets a lot of playin in my rotation, but i stick with about 6 or 7 shows, cause u can basically hear every single song they played in 77 in the same general way in that many shows. Didnt one of the members say they got bored in 77?

PS: i love 76 more

That Cornell College concert bites it big time. I believe that almost everyone here concurs.

If the question is a truly all-awful show from '77, the answer is "no such animal exists."

Meanwhile, here's another gem from '77 that may get lost in the sea of great shows surrounding it:

Oh, and just to stir the pot--the most OVERRATED show of 1977 is also one of the most popular: 2/26/77.

Everyone likes "firsts" and they play Terrapin for the first time and start the show w/it, but that doesn't mean it's a good Terrapin. The words are messed up, and it doesn't carry half the power and effortlessness of many a later version. It's not that 2/26 is a BAD show, it's just that it doesn't deserve the 5 star rating it gets.

Grendle,

I always like hearing from you. I haven't been around for awhile, but since you're here, I'll post.

2-26 is overrated but it is a nice show to listen to. 4/23 is good but too many breaks in the music.

Just my 2bits.

hello deadmax!

4-23-77 has my new fave Scarlet>Fire, but yeah, there are quite a few breaks....check out that 5-13-77 show, though...it's a killer!
